The Council meets twice a year and has full responsibility for all the affairs of the Guild. It is chaired by the Chancellor, Lord Montagu. The day-to-day running of the Guild is administered by the Management Board, which meets every second month under its Chairman, Richard Agutter. It, in turn, delegates various matters to the Social Committee, and the Wine Committee.

The Social Committee is responsible for all Banquets and formal dinners and for the development of our ceremonial. It organizes the Beaulieu weekend every second year and identifies prestige venues (The Ritz, Home House, The Waldorf, The Lanesborough) for all our major events, negotiating both the price and the menu.

The Guild's Wine Committee uses its skill, led by Maggie McNie to lead the Guild on all matters relating wine. The committee meets regularly, being responsible for the selection of wines for all events. It also organizes a regular programme of talks and tastings covering a wide range of wine related topics from around the wine producing world.
